The largest suburb of Kansas City, MO is Overland Park, KS. "OP" ,as it's nicknamed locally, has about 180,000 residents.

Even though KC has five suburbs that have 100,000 people, OP is the only city that is much more than a bedroom suburb as it is home to many office parks and corporate headquarters.

Warren, MI, at 130-something thousand. I can't imagine that there's anything there worth taking a high-res picture of.

Most of Knoxville's MSA lives in unincorporated areas. In other words, most people around here don't live in a city or town.

Knoxville's largest suburb is Oak Ridge which is probably unlike any other suburb in the country.

Oak Ridge was established as a secret city during WW2 for the sole purpose of developing the atomic bomb. At one point, 1/7th of the entire country's electricity was consumed at Oak Ridge.

At its peak Oak Ridge had about 75,000 residents, most lived in government housing built almost overnight. The town was encircled by electric fences and guard towers, and visitors had to get special permission and a background check before entering the city.

Today it's a town of about 28,000 and is home to over 20,000 nuclear engineers and physicists. And there are still many parts of Oak Ridge which are closed to the public.

Atlanta:

Roswell (population: 87,312)

If we're talking about suburbs that have much unincorporated area, it'd probably be Marietta, which has a population, including unincorporated Marietta, of about 250,000-300,000. The city limit population, however, is 67,021.

I believe the largest suburb in NYC, is Hempstead. It has a population of over 700,000; but it is no way a large urban center like Newark or JC.

It doesn't really matter... because Newark isn't a suburb, so you pick somewhere else, lol. I think Hempstead is the biggest one, but I'm really not sure.

Largest suburb in the D/FW Metroplex is Arlington (pop. 375,000). Some would argue that Arlington is not a "suburb", but its explosive growth is due to its location between the two principal cities of the metro area (obviously Dallas and Fort Worth).

This argument does have a bit of legitimacy to it, since the area has been officially designated the "Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington MSA"; therefore if one were to use that rationale and consider Arlington a principal city, then the largest suburb in the area would be Plano (pop. 265,000).

Okay, It is debatable to call it a suburb but I guess Boston's largest suburb is Cambridge, MA with 101,000 people

Most cities outside Boston with populations over 60,000 can't really be called suburbs.
The largest true suburb would be Quincy or Newton I guess with 80,000+.

In general, Boston's suburbs have much smaller populations because the cities land areas are much smaller than in other parts of the country.
