Florida's summer:

Hot & Humid weather with avg. high temperatures of upper 80s and low-mid 90s and lows of mid-upper 70s (Heat index often exceed 100s).
Most days brings afternoon or early evening thunderstorms but are usually short-lived that doesn't last for long. Still plenty of sunshine.

New York City's winter:

Cold weather with avg. high temperatures of upper 30s and low 40s and lows of upper 20s and low 30s. However, temperatures could for few days be as high as 50s and 60s, or be as low as 10s and 20s, or windchill near 0 (rare).
Both rain, snow & sleet could occur as precipitation. Snowfall of ~ 24 inches/year, but usually does not last for long. Despite winter time, most days are bright & sunshine.

Can I vote "neither?"

I like cold weather, hot weather, medium weather... I like it all. There's things to like about all of it.

NY because it is generally pretty moderate. It ain't Minnesota. It ain't, well, I won't say.

Yes, there can be days when it is 0 degrees. Yes, there can be days when it is 98 degrees. Yes, there can be winters with 24 inches of snow. Yes, there can be entire winters with just 6 inches of snow.

However, all of the above are very RARE. The average for all is somewhere very much in between.

I HATE humidity and heat, so I will go with NYC's winter.

Besides, the winters in New York, aren't as bad as most people make it out to be.

It is very moderate because of the influence of the Atlantic. Temps usually stay in the mid 30's to upper 20's in the dead of winter. By late Feburary and early March, it isn't uncommon to see days in the upper 40s or even lower 50s.

New York's winters are much milder and less snow than the midwestern cities and New England region.

Florida Summers . I wouldn't mind visiting NYC during the Holidays though. But I sure wouldn't want to live there.
