It's to be noted that in Arkansas and far southern Missouri the Ozarks are undisputedly Southern.
Take a drive outside Kansas City and St. Louis areas and you'll see what I mean. Lakes, woods, farmland, and rolling hills. Mixture of southern and midwestern cultures is what make this state unique in the region.
Michigan without a doubt. The western lakeshore is what I'm most familiar with, and it's awesome. I'd love to live around Holland.
