I'm trying to pick a place to live. Natural beauty is really important to me. Here's some criteria that would be important --

-mountains
-not TOO cold or hot
- lots of greenery

-less conservative people... a mostly Democrat area would be good
-not totally isolated area -- some kind of community

if you guys have any ideas i'd really appreciate it!

Asheville NC would almost certainly top the list with Boone/Blowing Rock NC right behind.

Maybe New Paltz, NY in the Catskills. Nearby Kingston wouldn't be too bad either. Saugerties would be another place to consider in that area too.
