If you could go back in time and relive a certain part of your life, where would that be? Would it be the same place you lived before? If you had to re-do it all over again, what would you do differently?

For me, I wish I had not left Austin too soon. I lived in the area in the early 90's, and it was such a good time for me in my life. It was the first place I lived on my own (and met others who did the same), the place I had my first real relationship, etc. As much grief as Texas cities sometimes get in these threads, Austin at the time seemed like such a magical place. I have no regrets that I moved away, as I've had the opportunity to see much of the world since then, but I sometimes wish I had stayed in Austin a little longer than I did.

What about you? Do you have any memorabilia from that time?

1994 -1996 That was my favorite period of time from the music (Hip Hop, Reggae) to living in Brooklyn (nyc). I was in my late teens and acting a fool LOL!

Honorable Mention: 2001-2002 although the bombing of our iconic towers put me into a depression for a few months.

I'd go back to 2002 When we were just about to move to... Trenton... I would of gotten the contacts of all my neighborhood friends and stayed in touch, I know a few now, but we aren't as close as we were when we were kids. I havn't seen any of my old Trenton friends since I left.
I was out of the area for four years (2 years in Trenton, and then moved to Troy NY for a year until I came back to this area again in 2005)

I also would of tried harder to persuade my mom not to move to Trenton in the first place, but I was too young. If I would of known it was between Elizabeth and Trenton, I would of plead for Elizabeth.

*4th through 6th grade, 1992-1995 (Corona/Norco, CA). Enough said.

*Late 2002-Early 2003: good, care-free, fun, young times (Corona/Riverside, CA).

*Early 2004: Worked at a fun place, was a ladies' man back then (Rancho Cucamonga, CA/Chino Hills, CA). I'd avoid late 2004 like the plague though (Ridgecrest, CA).

*May-September 2009: got paid to spend my days driving through the Pacific Northwest, and had more than plenty of time to do family stuff (centered on Spokane, WA).

Would have stayed in LA but I was young and had to move when my parents decided to. Always loved the beach and would have liked to grow up a beach kid.

I would've been more wary of that shady gravel-hauler rolling up alongside and backed off before he drifted into my lane and put the kibosh on my trucking career for the time-being.

Stuck in Victorville until that's either looked past by the trucking industry, or I finally find some other viable option to launch myself out of here with.

I would love to see what Detroit looked like in the 1950's when it had a thriving economy, I'm sure it was world class back then.

I would also love to have seen LA before the 1984 Olympics. Modern LA/So. Cal is too big and crowded.

Okay I'm gonna tweak the thread a little because I was born in the 90's and wasn't really around then, but:
-LA County in the 1970's looks awesome to me. I mean the art-deco, center of hippy life, surfing, and other awesome "stuff" .
-St. Louis in the 1950's when the city was at its peak of 850,000 people and was one of the most important cities in the U.S.
-New York in the 1980's and 1990's.

But then again, i'm liking the 21st century a lot.
