Wow. Hard to believe that the Ritz at Reynolds Plantation didn't make the cut.

Yay for the Bohemian! Though I'd rank the Mansion on Forsyth Park higher. Both Kessler hotels are top-notch!

Can't wait to see what Richard Kessler does next with the Power Plant property on River Street. It's going to be an awesome transformation!

Every time I see a media reference to the Lodge on Sea Island, it's placed on Sea Island. It's not. It's on the south end of St Simons Island along with the Sea Island Golf Club.

Yes, but the confusion is understandable since it's "The Lodge at Sea Island ... On St. Simons Island."

BTW ... the company appears to be doing ok in the post-Jones family / bankruptcy era, no? I see they're petitioning Glynn County to build more $5 million houses on a spit of sand on the south end of Sea Island.

They are definitely back in the game. Wayne Huizenga (managing partner) has built a home in Frederica, lending his prestige to that development. We always know when Wayne is in residence because his private jet parked at McKinnon has the Miami Dolphins logo on the tail.

A lot of people don't realize that most of the north end of SSI is still to be developed. I know when I moved to Glynn County, that reality shocked me. I just assumed that like most coastal communities, it was built out. I think Hank Rowland at The Brunswick News told me that there's room to nearly double the island's population if the county was so foolish.
