hey guys, im moving into my own apartment soon for the first time ever and im trying to plan out how much it would cost me monthly just for the utility bills including internet and cable. The place I am currently looking at is around 600-700 square feet. Any help is appreciated .

It depends too much on unknowns... like the efficiency of the apartment (insulation in the walls, windows, doors), how You live (temp set to 65 in the summer and 80 in the winter, or 80 in the summer and 65 in the winter), how many high-draw electrical loads (multiples of computers not only sucking up power but adding heat), how much hot water do you use, etc...

WAY too many variables. To be safe, plan on $200 for just utilities (power, water, gas, anything else associated with the apartment). TV/internet will be ~$80 for the first 6 months to year, then ~$130. Do yourself a favor, ditch the pay-TV and use an antenna for OTA local channels and streaming/OTT services to fill in the gaps. Half the price and you'll have less chance of turning into a couch potato.

Get a ROKU and subscribe to HULU and Netflix. Waaaay cheaper than paying for cable every month. You get to watch the news for free on the ROKU and most new shows come on HULU the next day. It'll cut your utilities down some.
