I am moving to Cartersville, GA next week due to a job. I've been looking for good apartment under $700 and so far, few came up on the search. However, I really can't tell which one is good cause I am not there yet till next week. I asked questions via-email but none of them really replies. When I call, it's either voice message or some very rude lady picks up with angry voice and doesn't give me straight answers. Anyway, which is good place to live in Cartersville? Safety comes first. I would hate living with loud/crazy neighbors. Also, I see they charge fee for application(like $70 to few hundreds depending on place) and that kind of worries me too. According to reviewers, these fees are non-refundable and they will make you pay just to see whether you are eligible or not. My ideal apartment would be clean, quiet, good management and laundry room(either in unit or sharing one in apartment), air conditioned apartment under $700. Anyone have good advice or info? Oh.. and they say my income should be 3x of rent price and yes, I make much more than that but my work doesn't start till 04/10/2017. Do I have to show them my job offer letter or something in this case? My credit score is good but I was in college from 2011 to 2016 summer so I have no tax history during that period. I reported tax from November of 2016 during my temp job but I don't think it's posted yet as my tax/income history.

How long have you known about this move? You should've been in GA scouting out places a long time ago. Asking on a forum isn't going to give you the answers you need..you need to see the place for yourself.

The only places in my area with rents that cheap are hood and ghetto...places I wouldn't' want to live.

My advice? Find an extended stay hotel and take some time doing you research before you jump into a lease.
