A lack of paper trails for our electronic voting machines to difficulties registering people to vote raises a simple question:

Will Georgia's 2018 elections be clean?

(Important: This is not so much a question about who will win. This is a question about whether every candidate who legally deserves to win will win.)

Given that a candidate for office had his hand on the wheel of administering the election, the election never had a chance of being clean.

Both candidates are odious. I’m going to hold my nose and vote for the one that benefits my family the most.

I vote no, but my vote would be that we can never really be sure. The voting machines have so many problems. Then you also have Kemp overseeing the elections and he benefits from low turnout.

I had no idea the problems were as big as they are. That one election where the guy wasn't even on the ballot and only learned about through happenstance was very distressing to me.

Shorter folks and those with longer fingernails have reported vote-switching — they intended to select one candidate on a touchscreen voting machine, but their vote is cast for another candidate.

Building rumors that Metz is going to drop out today. This makes no sense at this stage. Too many people have likely voted already so not much chance you can prevent a runoff at this point. The question is who does he endorse upon dropping out? History would suggest it has to be Kemp

Metz whole candidacy never made sense. He definitely pulled from Kemp. He might as well stay on now because over 2 million Georgians will have already voted--well over twice the 2014 early vote totals. It might have helped Kemp if he had dropped out sooner but the damage has already been done.

It won’t matter as Kemp would probably win a runoff anyway. I’m becoming more confident Kemp loses next week but Metz will get 3-4% which means we are going to a runoff for sure

That's going to depend on whether he really turn out rural voters on election day. So far, Metro Atlanta is dominating.
