We have the opportunity to move to Albany GA. We have 10 children and will be moving the Gailshar Gardens area. Can anyone tell me about this area please. I have no idea about any of it

Looks like Gailshar Gardens is a subdivision from the late 70s and 80s in north Albany. That's the generally safer side of town, so crime wouldn't be a large concern.

Albany gets a tough time from many people, it's a smaller city that has had more than its fair share of troubles over the years. But I think there are enough positives to call it home if work is there.

Your area is right by all the new development and national franchise stores and restaurants. The Riverwalk, a handful of nice museums and the aquarium are good for occasional outings. One of the most heart warming and good restaurants in the state is in town, The Bread House, be sure to eat there.
Radium Springs is awesome. And there's a fair bit to do within an hour or so drive of Albany.

The Gailshar Gardens area. I’ve read a lot of stuff about Albany...want the kids to be safe. I’m not sure how close I will be to the crime
