Hi All, I am considering purchasing a home in Smyrna and saw a home I liked in Vinings Estate. I noticed (and heard) a train go by while looking at homes. Can anyone tell me how often the train goes by at night around Mableton?

I read that the train near Vinings and Market Village will become quiet zones, but I doubt that this particular train will be changed anytime soon (it doesn't seem to cross any streets, by looking at a satellite image of it).

I'm a very light sleeper, so if anyone can stop me from making a big mistake I would appreciate it. I can stomach the train going by once a night, but doubt I could endure it several times a night.

thank you so much for any responses!

I live south of Vinings Estates off Cooper Lake Road at the end of Civitania Road, but I can't really hear the train unless I'm outside so I have no idea how busy the track really is. However, I know we run into trains now and then when we take Nickajack Road to go shopping.

I don't think they go by that often late at night, though. But I don't really know. That might be something to ask prospective neighbors?

I found some maps, but they don't really give the information you're asking for.

thank you so much for your response !! the maps are actually very informative. I think I'll stay east of the east west connector, just in case.

The east/west connector runs east to west. East of it would be east of South Cobb, right?
