Hi . we are looking to move to Georgia, however we need to live in an area that offers Christain schooling from k-12 . Public school is not an option. We are from a small town in NY and would like to live in a small town that offers a Christain school close by any help would be great

Many small Georgia towns have private Christian schools.

This is a large state. You need to narrow your focus to at least a general (north, south, east, west) area before we can be of any real help.

Will you need jobs here? Do you like mountains or plains, coastal or towns bordering another state where you might have other relatives/friends? Give us a starting point other than "an area that offers Christain schooling from k-12", please, because that is just too broad.

WE like inexpensive. It dose not matter really where. I am sick of the cold in NY. We just want to go warmer and not have to pay out of controll rental prices for a home . ( we own a home in NY and we will not sell it unless we are sure we want to stay in Georgia) so any help is greatly needed

Well, that helps! Your criteria so far:

1. Christian schooling from K-12 (public school not an option)
2. Would like to live in a small town
3. Warm climate, mild winters (that's pretty much all of Georgia except the mountains)
4. Inexpensive rental home (will not be selling small-town NY home right away)

Now some helpful, on-target replies should begin to roll in.

I lived on Fort Benning south of Columbus many years ago and attended Edgewood Baptist School - a good school back in the early 90's. Columbus is a nice town.

I don't know what your definition of small town is (could you share that with us), but in the south, we have lots of crummy private schools. If you have high academic standards, you need to proceed carefully. In many communities, only the poor go to public schools, which leaves the private school as the catchall for every other student (in other words, no admission standards)

ok seeing as no one wants to be first I will ( I am originally from Rome NY)
COBB COUNTY Has Cobb Christian Academy I know that that is a high School but I am assuming that the High Schoolers must come from somewhere there are many smaller towns in that area it lies on the outskirts of Marietta and Kennesaw which is NW of Atlanta GA

The poor are not necessarily the only ones who go to public schools, and many students recieve full scholarships in order to attend private school in Macon, and can be in poverty, but they are smart, and focused young people. A great example of this is Progressive Chrisitian Academy, its recognized through out Georgia, along with the founder, who is one's of Georgia's top 100 influencial women, the school has many students who are attending on scholarships.

The rich and famous also attend public school, especially if the school scores high and behavior is not a problem. I've learned that many wealthy people have a cheap size to all there luxiorious spending, and when there are public (free) schools that offer everything that private schools do, ( higher education, lower behavior problems, etc. ) why spend your money.
