Sure, have the government(taxpayers) pay for birth control, which will result in fewer workers in the future to help pay income taxes. While you are at it why not take more from the people on SS so they can pay for the BC pills that will ensure they stop getting SS later on.
Or, more likely, fewer "takers" as some like to refer to those that need federal assistance.
I do think contraceptives should be free and easily obtained. I also think vasectomies and hysterectomies should also be 100% free as well as abortions.
If you want free birth control, then you should subject yourself to pre-planned approval for parenthood. If you're deemed unfit for parenthood, then you get free permanent birth control - irreversible vasectomy or hysterectomy as appropriate.
After all, why should your progeny become a liability on society?
The tone of this thread, from the first post, is not up to Great Debates standards. If someone wants to restart the topic in a way that does adhere to the standards, and is set up in way that encourages responding posts to fit the standards, that is fine.
