Mod Note: I don't usually do these up top, but this is an unusual thread.
1) The videos below are "Safe for work" and therefore are not a problem
2) The discussion of watching pronography as a concept does not violate the ToS, however any post going above PG-13 level does. This is the only warning. Infractions if you go beyond this.
3) As with many Great Debate posts, this is a topic that will cause very emotion based responses. Personal attacks are not permitted anywhere on City Data.
My wife & I love documentaries we watch them more then anything else. My wife & I also watch porn together mind you. Yes, we are one of those couples. The other week we watched the two documentaries below.
Every so often we hear or watch something where porn should be banned all together. Some believe that it dehumanizes women & so women become sex objects & they are abused & so on & so forth. There has always been an argument against porn but not a lot for it. There is an argument that women who get into porn have been sexually abused. I think people forget that men do porn as well, and many might say that men are not affected by having sex with beautiful women, that it's only demeaning to women. That porn isn't realistic but neither are books, movies about love, romance, etc.
Who need guts to admit they watch porn? So what, you and numerous other people watch porn, they just don't feel the need to shout to the entire world that they watch it. So now you have your 15 minutes of City Data Fame because you watch porn.
Here's a thought for you..........I haven't watched television in more than 20 years and I have missed out on porn.......or have I.......

Not looking for fame here or any where else. Porn has always a hot topic & so many find it shady with the two documentaries I thought it would be a interesting topic is all. BTW we don't watch TV either but we do watch Netflix.
I have no problems with watching porn as long as it doesn't replace your partner or otherwise interfere with your life. This assumes that the porn is done legally with everyone of age with no illegal acts.
I've got nothing against porn in general as long as the participants in it are doing it of their own free will and are being compensated for their work. But once porn went online it became so ubiquitous it's now a daily part of many people's (read men, since it's mostly men) lives. And that has been proven to have negative ramifications on their real interactions with human partners.
Here are a couple of articles describing why that is and how it's a negative:

You should watch the two documentaries I posted very interesting Hot girls are about legal teens who apply for ad off Craigslist knowing what they are getting into. After porn ends is about porn starts from the 70's & 80's & how they look back on their lives in the porn business.
