I mean if an officer sees something and "thinks" it is a gun when it isn't...
How likely are other police officers to "see" an object as a gun?
Vs someone saying "NO gun"??
I don't see officers having a conflict of opinion if someone initially escalates to hottest encounter level
So if an officer panics/iverreacts or makes an honest mistake due to poor lighting, other problems w/visibility on site or maybe something like toy gun...there doesnt seem high probability to deescalate the situation.

A cop can't afford to take time to ponder whether a thug does or does not have a gun. He must assume the worst.

"Kill first, ask questions later"- American Cops are thugs in government uniform.

Better training,so violence won't always be the solution(unless necessary).
