There will be no future generations at all for those dead folk.
I take exception to your casual "dusted" comment; with a generational commitment to the Armed Services in our family (grandfather, father, father in law, husband, and son) I feel this was disrespectful to those who serve.

That said, I have seen family and friends sent to Vietnam, Desert Storm, and the latest Iraq war - and I have a distinct revulsion for the wars that are fought for money and/or the personal empowerment of politicians' friends (i.e., every war since WWII). Knowing that my son could have died with his buddies while the Kuwaitis he was 'defending' were partying in expensive hotspots still infuriates me. And I watched the entire debate in Congeress over this latest war - and the people who insisted that they cared about the troops and were opposed to the war voted for it anyway. Then they sent them over there with helmets and vehicles that were deadly and non-protective, that hadn't been upgraded in 20 years. The debate about who sent who is a non-sequitor - ALL sent them, and should be held accountable. The military is in a shambles and it is the combined forces of all politicos who use them as a private army to gain favor and money on the backs of our dead and wounded children. So please don't pretend to me or yourself that it was the Democrats who are the saviors of the military, because it simply isn't so. Neither group is.

The simple answer is they are too un-educated to know what the results of this are going to be. They have been lulled into this sense of complacency, where they really do not believe that anything can ever hurt them. By the time they do get upset, it is going to be much too late. Anyone who believes the government is working in the best interests of the citizens is so far out of touch with reality; they are incapable of rational thought.

"In the next century, nations as we know it will be obsolete; all states will recognize a single, global authority. National sovereignty wasnt such a great idea after all." Strobe Talbot, President Clintons Deputy Secretary of State, as quoted in Time, July 20th, l992.

"We shall have world government whether or not you like it, by conquest or consent." Statement by Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) member James Warburg to The Senate Foreign Relations Committee on February 17th, l950

"The world is governed by very different personages from what is imagined by those who are not behind the scenes." Benjamin Disraeli, first Prime Minister of England, in a novel he published in 1844 called Coningsby, the New Generation
