does Kumi Naidoo mean good things for GreenPeace? He stated that from now on, on his watch, the organization will focus more on human interaction and survival rather than just that of the animals that man so brutally takes advantage of.

Here's their news release:

New leadership at Greenpeace International | Greenpeace USA

I personally hope that he can integrate some human needs and perspectives, not because we need any more help in abusing this planet, but because, absent such a focus, GreenPeace will continue to languish in the political backwater.

We have several generations of Sesame Street watchers who "feel the pain" of the Earth, aty least in how it's been presented and marketed. That may pay off now.

Or what?

It's interesting that Greenpeace needs to reinvent itself.

This must mean any one - or more - of the following:

1. They've made total fools of themselves, and their credibility has been destroyed.
2. They're going after federal grant money.
3. Membership has fallen off markedly.
4. Everybody needs some good drama now and then.

Apparently, they will...but they'll be interfering with the crews rather than what the crews have in store for the whales now.
