Nothing. They would start buying more over the table stuff from S.A. & others, but they would still purchase U.S. missiles & parts for their 15's & 16's.

But they'd have to come up with their own $2.5 billion to pay for it. Which is over a thousand dollars per Israeli family per year.
Before 9/11, US taxpayers were spending about $600 per American to defend America and $500 per Israeli to defend Israel.
lets say we withdraw from all our treaties with them
what happens to them?
to the US?
does it matter if its a Dem or Repub that does the withdrawing? (assuming they both would)
What would happen is a politicians worst nightmare coming true.
Say the US does in fact stop supporting Israel. Now Israel feels like it is left alone to combat the muslim horde in their eyes.
Now say a repeat of the 1967 war happens, but this time the USA is not there to help Israel out with arms and the like.
Do you really want Israel to start launching nukes at islamic targets including their holy sites and cities?
If Israel feels like it has to go it alone on the planet, there would be no telling on how long it would be before Israel started using nukes for self preservation.
You must be around people who just accept what you say as fact all the time.
FY 2000 we spent $274 billion on National Defense and $1 billion in aid to Israel.
In 1999, our defense budget was 176 billion. Israel's aid is historicaly above 2 billion in most years. It's 2.55 billion for 2009. Figures for defense budget are highly variable, depending on what is included as "defense". "Before 9/11" doesn't necessarily mean only in the year 2000.
Even if the we only spend one-tenth as much per Israeli, how do we justify that?

And still people in the U.S. go hungry and live on the cold grimy streets....very sad.
