Not planning anything for Earth Day, but I installed a wood burning stove and so far making it through the cold season on less than a tank of oil, drove my car a lot less, and it is just a sedan, no big truck or SUV. I never have used chemical lawn and yard products, just let what chooses to grow do so and cut it back on occaision.

I'm kind of having an "Earth Year".....
The wood probably pollutes the air more than heating oil.

you mean like when the west burns down every year. i'd rather see our forests managed as a renewable resource heating homes and such than be overprotected and continue to burn down every year. how dies that cause less polution. it;s so bad here the usfs has constant controld burns but are anti logging what a joke.
I'll be out in a swamp, uh wetland, counting rare plant colonies. Shame that hip waders come in nicer colors.
