Love Sampan Restaurant on Peters Creek Parkway, and Tanoshii near Walmart off Hanes mall Blvd, both in Winston-Salem. Asian View near Bermuda Run in Advance/Clemmons.
It's not K'ville, but Mandarin in Clemmons is very good. It's a buffet, and the buffet is good enough, but if you order from the menu there are some excellent dishes.

I have zero experience with Kernersville, but Sampan in W-S is the only decent Chinese in Forsyth County that I know of. Greensboro has a few offerings worth trying, including the aforementioned Phoenix.

Can you imagine what a better location would do for Sampan's business?! They are obviously good to have lasted all these years in their crap location on Peter's Creek Pkwy.
