I'm trying to get a job with Old Salem in their marketing department. I cannot even express how much I would love this job and working for Old Salem, not to mention living in the Winston-Salem area. I wondered if anybody had any insider information on what sort of time frames they generally have when hiring at Old Salem? I'm so anxious to get this job and start my move to the great state of North Carolina. Then I can come back here and read tips on moving!

My apologies - Old Salem Museum and Gardens in Winston-Salem, NC. It is a historic district/open-air museum.

No apologies necessary. I can't speak for other posters, but I understood that you were talking about Old Salem in its entirety. Most folks around here are very familiar with Old Salem, but may or may not know that it operates as a cohesive public history entity, and that the various sites and attractions in the district are operated under a single umbrella.

I've never worked for or with Old Salem directly, so I can't address your concerns, but I wish you luck. It's a beautiful place.

Thank you. I did sort of figure that those who could give me the information would most likely know what I was talking about. And thanks for the luck! I'll take it!

Klarsen, the administrative offices are in the Single Brothers House, corner of Academy & Main. The right facing double doors nearest the corner. (The left doors are entrance to exhibit area). Good luck!
