That's great news! also do you know what the status is on the mid-rise 7 story building that was proposed for the parking lot between Cheesecakes By Alex and the Guilford Building?

I haven't heard about anything being constructed on that lot and the article didn't mention such. Do you have a source on this?

Here is the source from the News & Record back in 2011. The multi-use building was rumored to be as tall as 8-stories (over half the height of the 15-story Guilford Building next door to the site). The project was proposed by project proposed by Weaver Investment Co.
