Good Afternoon:
I wanted to know if anybody knew of any nightclubs in Greensboro or Winston Salem that cater to a 30 and up African American crowd. I am planning a visit to come down there soon and wanted to know if there were some clubs down there that cater to my demographic. I like clubs that play old school R&B and rap. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
A lot of clubs cater to the younger crowd. But for the "grown and sexy" vibe, in Greensboro you may want to check out Churchills on Elm and Boston's House of Jazz. Also listen to 97.1 for local events catering to the demographic.

Yeah, Winston doesn't have any grown and sexy AA clubs in good neighborhoods or downtown. I'm not sure why that is, but it's always been that way. Churchill's is cool though; nice laid back vibe and good music.
Greensboro is a college and retiree town. If you fall in between that there is really nothing for you to do. Eat, go to Walmart and eat again.
Yea I'd have to disagree most of the bars and night life and brewerys cater to 25-45 actually. But none cater to just African Americans. I'm from a big city so I'd rather not just have one type I like mixed crowds. Seems like the triad doesn't have to many mixed crowds though. Not like Raleigh and Durham.
