Greetings!
My husband and I are looking at several possible jobs in church music in Winston-Salem. He is from Georgia, I am from Michigan and we have lived several places in the country. The reason I ask about openness is that it took a very long time for me to find my way in the music scene here in Columbus, Ohio (we had moved here for a church job for him). Of course, we both hope for employment, but if one "followed" the other, would it take a long time to network, make friends, get opportunities?? Thanks!

I think that would depend on you. How much are you willing to put yourself out there and what avenues you plan to use in order to do that. People in the Triad, in general, seem very nice and down to earth. And there are several churches in the area that are constantly growing and launching seed churches which would then be looking for Worship leaders. Just don't limit yourself to Winston-Salem. Look at the triad area as a whole: Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point.
