I think most of the negativity is directed at overzealous posters, not G'boro itself.
Well I’m the opposite where I just do not like Greensboro at all. Not even it’s name (mostly because it reminds me of NC and I really only prefer Charlotte, Wilmington and sorta Raleigh/Durham) That said. I think it’s perfectly fine people like where they live. I mean, I never really saw any GSO posters trolling other areas like some people do. It seems if they do venture outside of the Triad sections, they’re usually pretty complimentary about other places.
Then in the Triad section, of course it’s a little exaggerated or people have big visions. But that’s pretty much every section. Even with that, I think, for example, UNCHGrad (May have gotten the username wrong) is sooooo on top of the GSO sections, particularly with pretty harsh criticism. I read the section but I tend not to comment. But I rather hear someone passionate with over-optimism than someone being negative and overly critical and acting like they’re the only ones who have traveled outside the old North State.... Believe me, I get way more GSO info from the overly optimistic posters than I do from an overly critical poster who I guess has street creds because they’ve been to Georgia.
To get back on topic, great news.
