Recent studies have shown the migration of millenials in the US and where they are moving to and from, And apparently it's the triad and definitely Durham.

Cheaper than average living, very high quality of life with adequate job creation have millenials flocking to the triad in search of new "afordable" homes while other areas continue to sky rocket.

*Article is behind pay wall*

Key info:

NC had 3 cities near the top.

Greensboro Ranked 11th.
Durham Ranked 20th.
Winston Salem Ranked 23rd.

As a millennial myself, this makes perfect sense. The Triad is still very much under the radar; I would've never thought to visit/move here if it weren't for a job offer. But at the same time, once we got here we found that it's a really nice place - friendly people, good food, multiple entertainment options, easy traffic, etc. Plus there's still plenty of cheap housing stock for renting and buying (relatively compared to Raleigh and Charlotte).

Millenials are our largest generation and they are all grown up and starting families now. I should hope we aren't still using them as a proxy for the college-educated creative class of professionals.

Not this thread per se, but that seems to be how lots of articles/rankings about Millenials are written. I'd like to see the methodology of this article.

I agree. The oldest Millennials are pushing 40 years old soon. Articles/Rankings have been fascinated with our Millennial generation for most of the decade, they don't mention us aging.
