My son is turning 18 and I was going to send 6 kids to Emerald Point for his birthday. Anyone know where I could get discounted tickets and how much they would cost?
Members of North Carolina State Employee Credit Union can get discounted tickets at their branch locations http://www.ncsecu.org/PDF/Highlights/2008ThemeParkPoster.pdf (broken link)

I don't think it is called Emerald Point anymore...I think it is called Wet-N-Wild in Greensboro at I-85 & Holden Rd.
Have not been there...heard good things about it though!
Did Wet-N-Wild recently puchase it? I always knew it as Emerald Point...but saw a commercial on TV here in Charlotte yesterday advertising Wet-N-Wild in Greensboro.

I'm not sure who actually owns it these days. It has changed hands a number of times since its original construction in 1983.
The Guilford County Tax Office says it belongs to Realty Income Corp. of Escondido, CA.
I know what commercial you are taling about. "Daycation all ever wanted, Daycation have to get away"
I know its been Wet' n Wild for at least several years now.
looks like in response to airing Wet n' Wild commercials in Charlotte, Carowinds has been airing its waterpark commercial here in Greensboro. They are the two largest waterparks in the state. Boomerang Bay waterpark at Carowinds is about 20 acreas and Wet 'n Wild in Greensboro is about 40 acres. Wet 'n Wild is the largest waterpark in both Carolinas. Wet' n Wild just needs a nearby themepark. If Greensboro's water park can be in the top 20 waterparks worldwide in attendance, I think the city and region can support a themepark.
Carowinds water park can not expand...there is no more room...that is why it is only 20 acres...It is always to crowded due to being attached to Carowinds Amusement Park.
We also have an indoor year around water park in Charlotte called Rays Splash Planet in Uptown Charlotte...so Charlotte has 2...of course the one Uptown is not that large...but it is neat.
