Very interesting! I've often wondered what the landscapes now covered by the area's lakes once looked like.

Pretty cool. I had heard there was a complete town under one of the lakes.
I know on Lake Hartwell, there is still an old farm under the water near Hartwell Marina off of Big Water. When the lake is low enough, you have to be careful and navigate around it.

If you think the lake is pretty, you should see pictures of the old Jocassee Valley before the dam's construction. It was a stunning place.
