Thank You, Shamrocker! I've always wondered what the official name was! You're welcome, I enjoy sharing!

Wow, Nuguy2! Glassy Mountain looks really beautiful! I think I've heard of it before, but I vaguely remember it. I will definitely have to check it out! Thanks for the pictures too! Isn't there a church up there that's fairly infamous for weddings?

Thanks, gsupstate! You really have to go up there at sunset! The skyline and mountains are just beautiful! I'm thinking about doing a thread just for Sassafras, because I have sooo many wonderful photos from there!

TD*, there are directions on google for the location. Just search Whitewater Falls Upper, and be sure it mentions the staircase, and observations decks. Lower is a horrible hike, and it's just a really rough stream for your efforts! I learned that the hard way. XD

You should! It is always gorgeous this time of year! I can't wait to get out there, hopefully this weekend! Like I said, just follow Brissy Ridge for about fifteen minutes, and you'll intersect with Kanuga. After Kanuga, Brissy gets kinda rocky and down hill. So, we usually turn around there and then drive down the mountain to hike another trail. I'm kinda short, and those huge rocks are just too much of a headache. Lol

You may be confusing Glassy Mountain with "Pretty Place" or Sims Chapel at Greenville YMCA Camp. That is beyond Caesars Head and up Route 276, towards NC border. Glassy Mountain is towards Pickens, off of Route 183. Hope this helps in some way.
