If you're thinking of a picnic on Sunday, you might consider getting a box lunch from Midtown Deli, 1022-B Woodruff Rd., across from Costco, or Jason's Deli, 824 Woods Crossing Rd., across from Haywood Mall. However, having just last weekend discovered the Cafe at Williams Hardware in Travelers Rest, I highly recommend it. It'd be a nice change of pace from Greenville proper and you'd be on the way to a scenic drive to Caesar's Head and other parts of northern Greenville County.

And pickup an umbrella at Target, 1112 Woodruff Rd, or Walmart, 1451 Woodruff Rd due to the possible chance of rain showers Sunday. (Let's keep our fingers crossed that it doesn't).

Soggy deli sandwiches may not make Mom happy.

Thanks! Someone else mentioned the Cafe at Williams Hardware too, so instead of hitting downtown Sunday, I think we'll get lunch there and explore the Travellers Rest area. We'll do downtown Monday when all the crowds are gone.

Thanks again all! We'll bring umbrellas, but hope we get lucky and don't need them.

Actually, while Saturday is expected to be stormy, the current forecast for Sunday is sunny and mild with zero percent chance of precipitation. (That assumes the storm system won't stall over our area like the one last weekend did.)

Ryan's features an all-u-can-eat mega bar. They also have delicious yeast rolls.

Just got to say that my family, wife and mother-in-law, had a terrific Mother's Day meal at Mimi's Cafe Sunday afternoon. I had made reservations back a few months ago and couldn't had picked a better place. We got there a few minutes before 1PM and the place was packed outside, with 1 hour waits. We walked right in and was immediately seated. Our server was great, the food came out quickly and was very good. (Each mom got a $10 off coupon for their next visit as a gift!)

Wife and mother-in-law gave me two thumbs up... so I have a bunch of "brownie points" now stored up for later use!

For Mother's Day I give Mimi's Cafe 5 Stars!!
