Companies can sponsor multiple venues. We don't have to cross it off the list.
Give me an example of two arenas with the same corporate name. I can't think of any. Wouldn't that be way to confusing when dealing with event managers, ticket agencys etc?
Verizon has multiple arenas/amphitheaters. Michelin and BMW don't need to establish a brand identity, so I highly doubt they'll sponsor it. Verizon just signed a major deal with Clemson and they aren't into naming rights anymore. TD has the TD Center among others. I don't expect them to shell out the large amount of money required for the Bi-lo center. And the arena isn't something that fits with Certus's brand identity. I'd expect ATT, Nuvox, Charter or possibly a manufacturer like 3M, Kyocera, or Kemet. Most likely it will not be a corporation everybody is acquainted with.
Not suprising. Bi-Lo is as good as dead to me and this area. TD Bank, CertusBank, Michelin, BMW, or Charter all sound reasonable.
Why is BI-LO as good as dead to you in this area?
As for companies having more than naming rights for more than one venue, in different geographical areas, I think it's definitely possible.
HOWEVER, TD Bank already has naming rights to the TD Convention Center (formerly Carolina First Center and prior to that, Palmetto Expo Center). It might be a little difficult to keep that separate from just the 'TD Center' (if they jumped in as naming rights partner).

Because they're not headquartered here anymore and are laying off workers. Might as well buy your groceries at Walmart now.
