I hate to see tax incentives used on this kind of project. Duke is going to convert the plant to coal with or without corporate welfare.

Huh? It's being converted to natural gas not coal.

I meant to say convert it to gas from coal. I guess I have coal on the mind regarding Duke after the recent spills of coal ash in NC. That should be another consideration when they upgrade the plant - making sure the coal ash stored on site is put into a more permanent storage facility where it can't leach into the river. Duke has a pretty bad track record with storage of coal ash.
