Would MUCH rather see a Super Target there, but this is NOT bad news at all. Yes, it seems a bit close to their recently opened Easley location, but still will have more than enough customers, I'm quite sure.

I do not have the answer to the "why", just reposting what I read. I don't understand either and I know a lot of people will want a Target but I don't control who buys.

this is so close to other new Walmart.. plus a thought they were building one in Pickens too. I'm sure they did a study on this but I think they run the risk of just taking business from themselves and not really gaining much. How many Walmarts do you need in this small of an area... Oh well anyway at least something is coming.

Wouldn't be suprised if Triangle Construction is the contractor. Noticed their construction sign out there earlier today.

At this point it doesn't bother me. I do not have strong feelings one way or the other.
One question: Does anyone have any information on the businesses currently operating in front of that property (Little Caesar's, etc.) I thought I read (???) that the buildings were going to be razed and the businesses relocated to a strip in the area cleared in back? Any info? Are we talking about the same property or are all those digested paint chips catching up with me?

I believe Walmart is going to build on the large field behind CVS. At least that's what I thought.
