There seems to be a "Run" on the Elderberry supplements, especially for kids. Went to two locations ( Whole Foods and Earth Fare ) and both locations were out of the Chewable/Gummy types for kids. I have been taking Elderberry ( Sambucus ) extract for a couple of years and have not experienced a cold or flu symptoms for quite some time. Just wondering what others may have experienced in using Elderberry ( Extract, Pills etc. ) as a supplement? I have read/heard that it builds the immune system and may prevent/lessen virus type infections. I believe in it. JMHO.

That is interesting and I will research it. Thanks.

I do think that you may get better feedback if you post this in the Health forum under Supplements.

Whole foods didn't seem to have as many elderberry products the last time I checked.

So instead I buy the Zand elderberry zinc lozenges in bulk from amazon. I don't take them every day, but any time my throat feels scratchy or I feel remotely like I'm getting symptoms from a cold/whatever, I take a few to work. Seems to be working pretty well so far!
