(still helping friend on job search...he found a job...but you know what they say..it's easier to found a job if you have a job...so now more calls are rolling in!)
I dont think any amount of money is worth the life youll lose working those stupid hours. The company I contract for has a division that works like that, mainly to have as few of people working as possible, and to "make it fair to everybody". I know 2 of those people who passed away due to the toll those type of hours were taking on their body.

Same here, I worked at a plant in Lexington, when we lived in that area, which has a 3 shift (weekend shift was 3rd) schedule. Mandatory minimum 60 hour weeks, and I had to work Sundays to babysit some of the 3rd shift people, because their boss was so terrible at his job.
Corporate America often times demands their people work stupid hours. I turned my back on that mentality a long time ago, and am now much saner, and physically healthier, for it.
Two weeks on days 7:30 am to 7:30 pm Monday Tuesday Friday Saturday Sunday and Wednesday Thursday the second week. Then switch to nights for two weeks with the same schedule but 7:30 pm to 7:30 am. The money isn't that good for what you put your body through.
I've worked at Michelin@US1 Donaldson Center for going on 12 years now.The work schedule there rotates every two weeks. Two weeks on days then two weeks on nights.Hours are 7:30-7:30.Say you start out on day shift you would work Monday-Tuesday, Off Wednesday-Thursday, Work Friday-Saturday-Sunday, Off Monday-Tuesday, Work Wednesday-Thursday, Off Friday-Saturday-Sunday.Basically you only end up working two weeks a month or half the year if you look at it that way.

7 days x 12 hours /day = 84 hours for 2 weeks = 42 hours per week.
Doesn't seem like half the year or two weeks a month to me.

First week you work 5 days and second week you work 2 days.So in the two week period you work a total of 7 days and off a total of 7 days.
