Look, the investigation is still underway. I have no side in this, I hope its not brutality but if it is, I hope proper disciplinary actions are taken to correct it. But blocking a main road in Greenville, or any city for that matter, IMO is grounds for arrest. Idc what you're protesting, when you intentionally shut off a road, thats a selfish way to get your message across and probably does more harm than good for your cause.
This whole "in your face" "if you don't stand with us your against us" mentality that many protesters have adopted does nothing but divide people further. Even if it was a cause I supported being protested, I more than likely rethink my support after I was late to work, couldn't get where I needed to go, or even worse, ambulance, fire truck, or police couldn't get to me in time, or I couldn't get to someone else in time because some morons were blocking Woodruff Rd. to make a point. I find it ironic how BLM is one of the groups that will be involved with this, yet how many lives (black included) could actually be at risk here or affected negatively by closing Woodruff Rd?
It's not already blocked? Seriously, blocking traffic there is no big deal. Traffic is already at a standstill most of the time. If they had some guts, they would try to block 291 or Wade Hampton, a road in which traffic moves.
Block traffic on Woodruff = "Go make an ass of myself at the one place in town where I can get the most attention."
