Greenville is in 'beast mode'.

I had not realized an old building next to the Greenville News building was demolished at that site.

The City of Greenville has left much to be desired in vertical growth for awhile. The taller the buildings are, the better the downtown skyline looks.

While new development is nice, why are no taller buildings proposed? No major downtown seems to build buildings all on the same scale

This isn't Atlanta, nor do I want it to be.

It's nice to see that the exterior isn't all brick on the mock up. A variety of materials helps to add some visual interest. I think the height is in good scale with the location. I'd like to see some taller buildings downtown but not so close to the river. Really tall buildings next to Falls Park would give the park a cavern like feel, especially since most of the park in the downtown area is pretty narrow.

I wouldn't call that a "high rise", but itll definitely add to the growing urbanity of downtown. Another surface lot bits the dust. Also like that it's not all glass like every other tower being built today.

Now need something to fill the surface lots along Spring Street. And along McBee and Washington.

The new hotel and courthouse are going to fill those surface lots.
