Presently living in a glorious Midwest state with wonderful 4 seasons. Getting to the point where the endlessly long winters and gray days are draining on my psyche. Not going to Florida~too crowded and too far to drive in one day.
I'd love to find a long term rental in this area for the months of January-March~maybe 6 weeks to 2 months. Does anyone have any suggestions other than VRBO and HomeAway? I've done extensive research on those sites and have some bookmarked for inquiry~but I was wondering if anyone had any other connections or contacts to vacation rentals.
Mid 60's couple, non-smokers, have 1 small well behaved non shedding dog. Would need at least 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, within 25 minutes of the airport. Not looking for luxury, just comfortable. A neighborhood with sidewalks would be a +
I've been to the area a number of times and love everything about it except the traffic, but I can avoid that by getting around with shortcuts and traveling at off busy times. Being able to deal with traffic is a minor nuisance, especially since I won't be having to scrape, shovel and worry about unsafe roads and crazy drivers during a "snow event".
When I was looking at apartments, I found that several of the complexes I visited offer short term rentals (including their 2-3 bedroom apartments). A leasing agent (maybe Waterside Greene?) said they get quite a few people there on short-term work assignment from out of state or out of country.
