To summarize:

Yes. There are two main hospital systems here (see above), with GHS being the dominant one. They both seem to hire and fire quite often.

Spartanburg Regional also has a hospital and some offices near the Greenville county line or even inside of Greenville county now.

Keep in mind - Depending on the date of your move, GHS could be named Prisma by the time you're here. They're going through a merger with Palmetto Health and are about to go through a rebranding.

Also bear in mind that Bon Secours is a faith-based hospital. For some, that's a plus; for others, a minus. We prefer it for that reason. My wife recently retired from Bon Secours. She wasn't all that happy, but the medical industry has changed a lot in recent years, not necessarily for the better. She only worked there 5 years, so not a lot of history to go by.

My wife works at GHS and it is NOT a good place to work these days. With all of the changes going on there, employees are the ones suffering with cutbacks and increased scrutiny amid the long hours that are coming as a result of said cutbacks.

I read the GHS reviews on the Indeed.com job site. Most were negative reviews from employees. Doesn't make me want to get a job there. But, the hospital I work at now has similar reviews. Healthcare is changing as another poster stated, and it's not a good change...at all.
