Cheapest Beach for a Quick Trip
Hey folks. Any ideas on a good place to spend the night at the beach for a relatively quick weekend trip? I know Charleston is closest but seems like all the hotels are $150 a night or more. Any ideas?

hey Cabin,
Do you have kids? the reasion I ask is that Myrtle/north Myrtle have some great places for kids. I just got an e-mail for rates as low as 59. I'll PM you the Info.
If you don't have kids Look up Hilton Head on Priceline. We stay at the Marriot for 75-79 a night each time. (Name your price option)

I would consider staying at Edisto Beach State Park. Lots of fun, much quieter and a real vacation you won't forget.

I agree with Skyliner. Edisto Beach State Park or Hunting Island State Park (near Beaufort, SC) are both unforgettable experiences.

edisto looks nice, but a little high on the price! The cabins on the website were 1800-2100 a week! What all is there to do there?

Myrtle is always a good bet for a quick weekend and you can either spend a little more and stay on the ocean or if you just want a nice but cheap room there is always chain hotels on 17. I'd go Myrtle for an overnight weekend.
