Relocating and Work from Home in SC (Taylors, Greer: contractors, to move)

Wife and I have been wanting to move out of CO for some time now. I got the green light yesterday from work, I was always in a work from home capacity. Wife wanted to get back to the south and we have 2 young boys we want to have a bit more space for them and have a pool.

We are looking at TR, Greer, Taylors right now. Budget would be under $1mm. We might end up just building depending on what we can or can't find. Any areas to avoid?

OP From what I have heard it can be difficult to find available builders, contractors, sub contractors, etc. The market is very hot right now. But your budget is certainly very healthy for the area.
