I am a recent Purdue grad and I have just moved to the Greenville/Spartanburg Area with my fiancee. I have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Tech and an Associates in Organizational Leadership. I have been job hunting for the past few months but still have not managed to land anything.
I'm trying to find a job as an automation/controls engineer or software engineering.
I've applied for jobs at QS/1, Michelin, GE, and a few others. I'm wondering if someone here might have information on other companies I haven't heard about or might know someone in one of the above companies I should get in contact with.
I've been checking online with BMW to look for engineering positions in the area but I've not found any through their site. I've also looked through their staffing agency (MAU) but I've not found engineering jobs or IT with BMW through them either. It's kind of strange considering how much I've heard about the company announcements about expanding the jobs in the area. The BMW USA careers site currently doesn't have anything listed in all of South Carolina.
Do you know if there is somewhere else I should be looking to find engineering jobs at BMW?
Mau staffing changed the name of the division that handles the staffing for BMW. It is now Tier one solutions. A couple of other places would be Kemet in Simpsonville or Bosch in Anderson@ I-85 and Hwy81. Also look into Mustang Engineering it is located off Patewood at 385.
There's also Bosch Rexroth and Faurecia in fountain Inn.
Seeber USA and Staubli robotics in duncan.
SEW eurodrive in duncan.
Plastic Omnium duncan and anderson.
Greenville has more foreign investment per capita than anywhere else in the country.
