I'm flying out of GSP on the 24th. Anyone been through there recently? I heard there was a bunch of construction. Thanks.

We flew in from Philly the first of August and noted no construction.

That round of construction has been complete for at least two years. We flew out of GSP during that entire period with zero problems. You are worrying way too much!

There is construction going on, but it shouldn't cause you any issues.

There is a lot of construction going on, but right now it isn't affecting much. Phase 2 is supposed to start in December. When it does, that's when all the problems will arise.

They will have all of the roads that are currently in front of check-in and baggage claim closed down for close to 4 months. During this time all drop offs and pick ups will be way down where the new road they are constructing is.

Once this takes place there will be absolutely no stopping in front of the airport anymore except for active pick ups and drop offs. The lanes will move to 4 lanes as opposed to the current 3 and anyone waiting for someone will be required to wait in the cell phone lot until their parties are ready curbside.

I flew back to GSP last weekend and I didn't notice any construction. Certainly none that affected any of my travel.

Parking is a mess. Leave early if you're leaving your car.

Not sure how you missed that as they are putting in the new entrance to the main terminal. It's been nothing but dirt and trucks where the valet dropoff was for months. The valet lot has been temporarily moved to the garage and it has been a mess, they've had to reroute a temporary walkway for pedestrians to get around there.

Yes it's not too bad for people right now, but like I said previously, once they move to the next phase it will be 4 months of chaos.
