What would you like to do? I presently own an adoption agency, real estate agency, retail shipping business and a dry cleaner.

No problem, it's really hard to read intent. That was really kid of you to apologize. I've been researching for over two years for a business here, and I always head back to qsr/franchise. Just have to wait for everything to come together. Wish you the best in your venture.

Hey Andrew..... I have a ton of questions for you as you seem to be well along on the entrepreneurial path. Did you use a biz broker or did you start all of your businesses from scratch? How did you gather the information for projected income (expected return on investment) and identify optimum locations, especially for the dry cleaning biz?

Currently I have a PR/Marketing business that is pretty labor intensive during certain parts of the year. I'm interested in diversifying my revenue streams by adding one biz at a time to my portfolio. I'm especially interested in businesses where I can make an investment and hire unskilled labor at a more-than-fair wage to build employee loyalty and train them to run the business for me. The coin laundry suggestion seems as if it would have a reasonable buy-in but I have no clue as to the expected return on investment, monthly maintenance requirements, etc.... I have experience with Bingo operations but, for personal faith reasons, have been lead away from that option.
So far, on my list of options I have :
1. commercial real estate appraisal (but I will have to find an agency to allow me to work under them for a period of time and that may be a hinderance);
2. coin laundry (and other vending);
3. Mobile Pet sitting and grooming service for Greenville and Simpsonville areas
4. Corporate event rentals - tenting, stages, a/v with talent (this is a small portion of the service I arleady provide to my existing clients)

I'm simply looking for information and success stories so that I don't have to reinvent the wheel. Ultimately I am going to need to find an entreprenuerial mentor. Now that I've provided more background, any direction, information and assistance you can provide will be deeply appreciated and the favor returned if possible.

And Sonrise, thank YOU. Good luck to you on your journey as well. Keep up posted on your developments!

Hey Sonrise, I know this is reviving an old thread but I was wondering if you are any closer to your start-up? Are you aware of any entrepreneurial groups in the Upstate area?
