Pike contractors are doing a bunch of work in my neighborhood and they're blocking off the roads and I'm just kind of curious who they do work for? Do they contract for Duke, AT&T or Charter?

It could be anybody, really. They contract out their work. It could be with a major energy company, a co-op, or an investor-owned company. There's probably no way to know short of asking the people out there doing the work.

Duke Energy has been a customer of Pike. I have seen many Pike crews working on power lines.

I also have seen Pike doing work for Duke Energy. They have a longtime business relationship. Duke was using Pike back in the 1980s even; I worked for Duke one summer and the tree crews were Pike employees, but they ate their lunch and attended meetings with the Duke employees.

Of course, I agree they could be working for someone else, too.

Pike brought our service in from the street, and we are with Blue Ridge.
