What did your grandkids request? I am guessing sweet potatoes with marshmellows...that seems like something kids would associate with thanksgiving.

I think I have unusual grand children--creamed pearl onions and deviled eggs.

Ah...........my grand daughter loves deviled eggs so I always make them when she is going to visit (which doesnt happen so often now I live in FL and she lives in ME and she is 14.

I love the creamed onions too.....and had forgotten about them. Do you add a little nutmeg to your cream sauce?

I hope you have a good visit.

Hadn't tried the nutmeg elston but with my kids sometimes it's just best to let things be as is as it is what they are use to. I might like it on my own dish though! Anyhow onions are done and ready to go--now for the deviled eggs. For me this is all a major project because I am so out of practice! Ha! But it will get done. Then I must trim my roses for winter. I'm trying to stay very busy today as the holidays are starting to tug at my heart and I don't want to let there be enough time for that. To many happy things to consider--like seeing my family!

Had a lovely day yesterday with the family! My girlfriend fit in perfectly! I did miss my DH as Thanksgiving was one of his favorites! I suppose I will always miss him but hopefully with time it will not be so hurtful! My grand daughters each made a desert yesterday--they are growing up so fast. I am blessed to have such a lovely family! Hope everyone had a blessed day yesterday and today too.
