It's suprising that a couple of former CNN anchors were staying at a Motel 6, but it's good that they brought protection.

Does anyone know if a concealed carry license is required to have a loaded gun in a hotel/motel room you rented?

I checked handgunlawUS and saw no such requirement.

They had a dog with them, Motel 6 is very pet friendly. Generally you do not need a CCW in a hotel. It's treated as if it is your domicile, which technically for a period of time it is.

Note- The anchor has some history with law enforcement and her hubby was Army Special Forces.

She was a looker back in the 1980 and 90's.

Hell if I was 20 years older and wasn't afraid of her badass husband....

That guy rocked it like the Boss. Come out dripping wet dick a swinging and guns a blazing. That's a dude with a permanent man card.

Not quite- listen to the CNN interview with her. She stalled off the gunmen and basically positioned the handgun in her purse, then handed it to her husband who then took action.

Pretty good team.

I would check the state laws very carefully. I would say in most all states its legal but some commie states like NJ, NY or CA I would check the laws.

It does, but "wet dick a swinging" sounds a little over kill. Being soaking wet with a gun held on him it probably went in hiding

Legal in CA, including your campsite. Surprisingly and unexpectedly, there's still a little bit of the wild west left out there. Besides CA outside of big cities (LA, San Diego and San Francisco) is very gun-friendly.
