Hey, I want to know about about a good product that will hold my hair up. Now I use gel, but it doesn't work very well. It either doesn't hold or it holds for about 2 hours and then my hair falls down (I use ALOT by the way!). I have very straight hair. So, what product do you recommend? Thanks!

My husband too has very straight hair (on top), and in the neck area they like to curl, if it gets to long.
He's been using "Crew" products for men, as soon as they came out with it.
He is using the "Crew Gel" medium hold.....and it holds up very well, without being stiff or greasy. (It all depends what look you are going for, since the gel comes in "light hold", "medium hold" and "firm hold".)
I know that there are so many products out there, but this is a product I am familiar with....delivering good results.

Try a mud or texturizing putty. There are several different brands out there. They are meant for sculpting and holding the hair.

I've been using a styling putty from Gram Webb, but they discontinued it. They have a slightly similar stuff I'm going to try next; I don't know what it's called, but it's more of a paste and it comes in a white squeeze tube.

Just to add food for thought.....the use of A LOT of product on fine hair can be self-defeating....it weighs it down. I know, I have fine, straight hair. If I go overboard on my product it defeats the purpose. JMO.

I use Got2B freeze spray to style wigs. It's one of the best hair styling products I've ever used. This stuff is so strong that it held my friend's hair (goes past her bottom) straight up for several hours.

It's also pretty much waterproof.

Just wanted to add that I styled a blonde wig for somebody to match Cloud Strife's hair. I did this wig about 3 years ago and it is still in place. He only washes it with water.

Shampoo, however, will unglue this stuff.
