So I may leave my current stylist bc the past few times have just been ehh. She colors my hair great, but in general I find the salon kind of unprofessional and one time she forgot to wash the bottom layer of my hair So ever since my last hair cut, my ends are just not how they normally feel. They fell jaggered, if that's a word. I literally have been getting the same cut for 20 years, long layers, but I noticed immediately after leaving that my hair almost didn't feel freshly cut, although I know she DID cut my hair. Are my ends just so over processed that I need to cut a great deal off for my bottom to feel healthy or is it something she did?

Could be the scissors weren't as sharp as they should've been.

I would change salons. How did she forget to wash the bottom layer of your hair? And, you might want to stop dying your hair & give it a little break if it’s showing signs of being over processed. Avoid ever using chemicals like ammonia. Use organic hair dyes & products that hydrate. What type of conditioner did she use? Your hair should be healthy without having to cut a lot off.

You also could cut it differently if it’s been the same for 20 yrs. The same stylist? Maybe you’re just tired of it? I like when stylists talk about cutting or styling hair differently.
