How many thirty+gals out there have chin hairs now that they never had at thirty or below?

When I was a teen, I worked in a nursing home. There were several old ladies who had what appeared to be beards (or many chin hairs gathered together in one place-he!he-their chins!)

Well, I thought how sad it was that they had some sort of elderly lady disease that made them grow hair on and under their chin!

Fast forward twenty-three years!! And EEK!! I've become one of those old ladies!!!! (only thirty-eight) and Doc says it is "normal!!"

So, PLUCK! PLUCK! I go (can't afford other methods!!) I go every week. Anyone else share my chin?

P.S. Thankfully, their (my hairs) numbers are under ten on my chin, but I'm wondering if I can expect what those ladies had when I get to be their age-EEK!

P.P.S. Don't leave me "hair-less" and all alone! SPILL!

I am also afflicted. I am looking to see if laser hair removal is my best option. I am 38 and not ready for a beard. LOL

I thought that would happen to me after my hysterectomy but it didn't. Kind of surprised me. (I just hope I didn't jinx myself by posting this.)

Laser only works if the hair is dark.

I don't have the problem myself, but I just thought I'd put the info out there.

Try having chin hairs starting at 17. I'm now 20 and it's spread from just being a few on the side of my chin to under my chin and my jawline as well. Obviously, at 20 I can't afford laser (and I have DARK wiry hair) or electrolysis. My skin is always irritated from all the plucking.

The bane of my existence since my late TWENTIES, actually, after I had my second child. I would love electrolysis or laser removal.. oh and it just seems to get worse with age. Pretty soon I could grow a beard, and it's moved from "chin" down to neck. Dark and pokey. I know there's no hope either, as my mom and grandma get them but gray and if they miss one, they get long and curl!!!

I keep tweezers in my purse AND in the car and it's almost an obsession with me to ensure no hair remains un-plucked. It sucks to be sure.

Wasn't it Rosie O'Donnell who told her talk show audience that she had a right mind to let hers grow long enough to string a bead on it?

I hate the little buggers. Once in a blue moon I'll find one in my upper lip. And it all started after being pregnant with my son at 22 (a common experience per discussions with other mothers of sons over the years).

Yet another injustice, alongside menstrual cramps and yeast infections.
